Corrupt corporation and academy.

I don't understand why do we have to buy the cap and gown?
I know the cap will have sentimental value, but the cap is a useless piece of fabric after the graduation ceremony. Jostens used to rent out the gowns, but they changed it.
Now they have to force us to buy it.
It is unfair for us students and competing companies. The students can't find a better price, escpically with the economy these days, low price, high quality goods are very important. Other companies doesn't have a chance to even let their business be seen by the possible customers that are the students.

Why do the school allowed such monopoly over the students? Isn't it illegal?

中秋節快樂!!

Happy Mid-Autumn!!

I love Mid-Autumn, but it is boring here in the States. Sure there are the celebration at BGSU, but they just don't feel like home.

What I mean by home? Well, Hong Kong style celebration. Paper candle lanterns and plastic electric lanterns hanging every where. Kids playing with candles. Everyone is playing outside in parks and public area.

Moon Cake. It wouldn't be Mid-Autumn without Moon Cakes. Made with lotus seed past and with one or two egg yolks on the inside. The real/good/properly/made in Hong Kong moon cakes are really good. Unlike what ever they give out at the BGSU Mid-Autumn celebration.
Every quarter of an average sized moon cake has 196 Calories. That mean 784 Calories in each moon cake, and 3136 Calories per box.
I have always wanted to try the Snow-Skin Moon Cakes, or ice cream moon cakes. The snow-skin is special, they are made with modern flavors. The ice cream moon cakes sound interesting, but I doubt they are very special.

I miss holidays in Hong Kong.

My life bar is approaching zero

I am slowly dying from school work.

I know, I know, you are probably thinking "you are not taking both AP courses, so don't complain." I know I am not one of those duel AP people. So I admit, I am not dying as fast as they are. They deserve much kudos. And I am sure that they will have a much better future than I will.

The workload in AP chem isn't very much, but understanding some of them are somewhat hard. This is my favorite logic base class. I can't complain too much about this.

I love Japanese. I really like that class, but it is really hard. I am behind in the materials, and I keep forgetting things. I found that my background in Cantonese helps a bit. A few of the Japanese words sound a like with their Cantonese counterpart.

Calculus is hell for me. I have no clue what's going on. I understand some of the concepts, but I don't know how to apply them. The worst of all: research paper. Yet, I have to use English to explain math. NOO!!!

I will have to work hard. I need to get at least B's.

Friday Night Lights

The football game was awesome!

BG Unit Tailgated. The tailgating was cool.
There was a mini-grilled. There was no spatula to flip the burgers so someone made spatula of aluminum cans.
I failed at throwing a football. Some one, I won't name who, kept shelling us with football.
Some one also brought in a rocking chair.

Game and Band.
The band was awesome as always.
The half time show was also good. Beth played really good.
Catherine, Kristan, and John did the "head chopping" maneuver. That was amazing.
We won the game.
I followed the band back to the band room. Ben Haubert is one of the most energetic person I have met. He danced all the way from the stadium to the band room and kept dancing in there with the band. The celebration dance was crazy, but sweet.
I took so many pictures and videos. I can make a documentary.

Dance Party.
Nick hosted the best party that I had been to.
The party was after the game. I went with Kelly, Justine, and other band members from the band room.
I stayed outside most of the time. The party was cool, but the dance floor is way too hot. Both literally and non-literally.
The BG Unit guys did a dance for the ladies.

The night was awesome. I am feeling that I am using the word awesome a bit too much in this blog, but I don't know any other words to describe it. Maybe I could have used fantabulous, it is a word according to Microsoft Word 2003.
