中秋節快樂!!

Happy Mid-Autumn!!

I love Mid-Autumn, but it is boring here in the States. Sure there are the celebration at BGSU, but they just don't feel like home.

What I mean by home? Well, Hong Kong style celebration. Paper candle lanterns and plastic electric lanterns hanging every where. Kids playing with candles. Everyone is playing outside in parks and public area.

Moon Cake. It wouldn't be Mid-Autumn without Moon Cakes. Made with lotus seed past and with one or two egg yolks on the inside. The real/good/properly/made in Hong Kong moon cakes are really good. Unlike what ever they give out at the BGSU Mid-Autumn celebration.
Every quarter of an average sized moon cake has 196 Calories. That mean 784 Calories in each moon cake, and 3136 Calories per box.
I have always wanted to try the Snow-Skin Moon Cakes, or ice cream moon cakes. The snow-skin is special, they are made with modern flavors. The ice cream moon cakes sound interesting, but I doubt they are very special.

I miss holidays in Hong Kong.
