VOCALOID2

This is a cool program that let you make your own song.

It sound and look cool but it is only in Japanese. From looking at it on YouTube and Gizmodo, the program only got one vocal singer, Hatsune Miku. She sound ok, but it be better if there are more singers. But I think they might have more vocal later.

Here is the web site:http://www.crypton.co.jp/mp/pages/prod/vocaloid/

They need an international version.

Addicting flash game

The games at this page: http://www.eyezmaze.com/ are very addicting!

They got this game call "grow island" where the player must develop an island to certain level. There is a panel to chose what field to develop. Each turn can only develop one field and each field effect leveling up of another field. There are so much possibilities. I keep wanting to get the UFO to land.

Check it out!

Police training on Counter Strike

This was surprising to me. I thought the Chinese government hate foreign video games.

The police department of one city in China is encouraging their officer to play Counter Strike. They say it for training. Sure it might help, but real training would work better.

What they need is a Wii version of Counter Strike. That will help them!

Water on fire!!

Yes water can be put on fire without other chemical or element added to it.
To be precise, it salt water on fire.

A scientist accidentally sparked a test tube of of salt water on fire. It sparked by a frequency of radio wave towards the water and separated the water into sodium chloride, hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen then is sparked to light on fire. The fire can reach up to 1000 F.

If the energy out put is much greater than what is needed for the radio emitter, then the world's energy problem would be solved.

The Bus Uncle

I remember this thing in the summer of 2006, when I was back in Hong Kong.

The Bus Uncle is a video captured in a bus by a passenger using a camera phone. The video was a hit online.

I can't believe it, this thing got feature on Wikipedia today. I thought it was just a local Hong Kong thing, but it more popular than I thought.

This happen when a young man ask an old person to talk a bit quieter on the phone so the he can take a nap. Then the old man start a long rant about how stress he is.

News reported on this. Studies was done on stress in Hong Kong and youth culture. Many internet and TV parodies was made.
