I found this on youtube last night. This is an very interesting interview with Dr. Michio Kaku.

Immortality.....
Thursday night I saw a news special on ABC about living till 150. It was an fascinating report. But it got me thinking.
I don't doubt on the science they are doing. I have no objection on stem cell research. What I was thinking about is that should we live that long or longer.
In the show a few experts predict that human can live for hundreds of years. Living till one hundred don't worries me. But I have my worry on the environmental and social impact if human can live longer.
We, the human population, are over populating. Yet so many people are starving and dying. Instead of extending the life of those who already lived a lifetime, why not extend the life of those who barely experience life.
With people living longer, population increase. So how are we supposed to feed every one? Food shortage are already a problem. What about where everyone are going to live? We only have so much space to use. The environmental effect of housing and caring would be huge, not to mention how much waste everyone would produce.
They did talk about age discrimination on the show. I agree on how this would be. There would be about five to six generation living together. There would be at least three to four generation gap.
As human age, the brain deterioration or the person's mind would grow crazy with wisdom. Can a person's mind handle all the knowledge or wisdom of hundreds of years.
Should we mess with the chain evolution? or for some people god's design. I think we should continue with research but not applying them yet. Wait till humanity is ready. We shouldn't mess with natural evolution and natural selection.
"Prepare for unforeseen consequence."

Rampancy
Yesterday, I was on the road. I've never liked the process of traveling.
Why? I may ask.
Because in the car, I am a lone with my mind for a long time. I also don't like to sit in a seat for hours without a TV or computer in front of me.
I think too much about things. I am going rampant. But if I am saying I am going rampant, than doesn't this prove that I am not rampant.
Why the hell am I using rampant to discribe a human? Thinking too much is a sign of rampancy, but rampancy is not real. I am just crazy, not rampant.
Thinking too much makes me sad. Maybe Lisa Simpson is right, the smarter you are the sadder you are. But I am not that smart, but I still over think and thus make me sad.
Maybe I am just over thinking about my over thinking. I should just let it be.

"Even though you broke my heart.....
.....And killed me. And tore me to pieces. And threw every piece into a fire."
A broken heart could feel like that I guess. I wouldn't know. I don't want to know, but it is an unavoidable part of life. I will know, unfortunately.
We human are weird. We are one of a few animals on earth that have emotional attachment with our mate. It is good a guess. We are advance enough to some what disregard physical attraction or lust. This make us superior to other animals, even those of our closest relatives don't have these logical feature.
We youngsters are naive and inexperience. Are we, only had live less than two decade, ready for relationship and love? The youngsters of the past got married and started family at our age. But then again people don't live that long back then.
Time didn't just changed how long we live, but how we live as well. Our culture changed. Society changed.
We, youngsters are emotionally unstable. Hormone bouncing everywhere, causing unstable emotion and thinking. We are too impulsive and jumps into a relationship with someone. That person might or might not be the best for them. When/if it end, the heart is broken. And throw into a depression.
Personally, I wouldn't call it 'heart broken.' Heart broken is heart disease. I would call it emotionally broken. It happens in the brain, not heart. It effect everything that the brain control. It is a broken brain.
Is high school relationship worth it? The couple is most likely going to break up. From what I learn in biology last year, a high school relationship could last at the shortest average at two weeks, from getting attracted to a heartbroken breakup. But high school could also be the place to find the love of one's life.
For some, the risks outweigh the benefits. For other, the benefits outweigh the risks.
I am still deciding what outweigh what for me... I also have to consider what outweigh what for the person... High school is so short, once it end, our life have to part and move on the colleges and jobs. The separation might also hurt like a 'broken heart'.
A friend of mine said that "There are only two kinds of relationships in high school. One is friends with benefits, the other are force into a relationship."
I don't believe that. There could be something meaningful. The couple just have to work hard on the relationship.
Love, like the human brain and our emotion, is a mysterious thing. Scientist only found out a very little part about how love works. I doubt they'll figure it out entirely.
The quote form atop is from the ending song of the game Portal. The song name is "Still Alive", sang by Ellen McLain, and written by Jonathan Coulton.

The Generation Gap
I am currently watching FRONTLINE: Growing Up Online on PBS. This episode is about kids and the internet and parent. It is very un-bias compared to other news source. There are both kids and parent talking about the good and bad situation of the internet.
They say the internet created the biggest generation gap. I have to agree with that. They show some nice statistic.
Any way, check that out if you can. Frontline is great. But now I am writing about the generation gap, and why it is good and bad.
Parent, like most human, are afraid of unfamiliar things. Like most human we all want privacy, but yet like most human we also want to invade people's privacy.
I know they want to keep an eye on us so that they can make sure we are safe, but over protection will just drag us down. We need a big generation gap to insulate our self from the last generation's grasp that are trying to stop us from advancing our self. We are constantly evolving, but they don't want us to. They are too insecure to let us go. They are too afraid of what new and thus they them self are stuck in time.
They make decision base on their experience, that is good. But most of the time they make decision without thinking of the result that will be put on us. We are then corrupted by the last generation. A generation gap is needed to prevent the corruption of primitive thinking of the last generation to ruin the innocent thinking of this generation. But at the same time a generation gap would prevent the passing of wisdom of the last generation to be pass on that will aid the evolution of this generation.
Wisdom: science, history, love, peace, non-violent resistant, diplomatic achievements, etc. etc.
Corruption: war, arrogance, anger, hate, lustful thinking, greed, etc.
We need the wisdom of the pass to understand how to work towards our future. But we can't let the corruption of the past to slow down our progress. How will a balance in the generation gap do this? How can it let wisdom pass, but stop corruption? Question, Question, Question. These question will also be ask by the next generation. These question will be asked by the next generation because we have already been corrupted.
Now a days, with upto five generation living together, it is hard to insulate youngest two generations from the rest. This problem will stay in a paradox for a while...

Question about grief?
This human emotion is weird. We all have them, but we all show it differently. We all show it towards differnt stuff and for differnt reason.
Human grow attachment to each other, that's why we grief when one of us pass. But at the same time, we are capable of killing each other and not feel a thing. We are just all alike, shouldn't we all care for each other? But if we are like this, then why do we need guns?
When one thing dies, even if it is not human, the person close to it will feel grief. Because of emotional attachment for what ever reason. But if we can have these kind of feeling for non-human, then why cant' we have the same feeling for others?
We also grow attachment for non-living thing. As a little kid, we might have attachment for a toy. We are sadden when that toy is lost or get broken. As we get old, we have emotional attachment for other stuff. Video game system, car, computer, house, and a country. We have the same emotion toward any other thing that we are close to, just like people.
But why? They are just inanimate object, do they really need us to feel for them?
No one can answer that, our brain chemistry is too complex.
But as technology advance, computer get more and more sophisticated, and computer AI or robots will be very common. We would grow attachment to them like how we are attach to other human. What would happen then? If our computer crash, would we have a funeral for it? But will we treat them the same way? Will we treat robots like a human friend or a manufactured slave? Will we grow emotional attachment toward them?
There was one study that I've read in a magazine while I was shopping in mijer. It was about an experiment where a group of scientist putting a robot baby into a group of real babies. They used babies as test subject because the are not taught by society to treat anything differently. The robot acts like a real baby, but don't really look like a real baby. After a while the real babies grew attachment toward the robot baby. They shared toys and played together. The real babies treat the robot baby like his peers. But after the while, the robot baby is programed just to dance. The real babies soon lost interest.
The babies in that experiment was too young to have the grief emotion. But what if this experiment was done on a group of older people? Will they feel grief if the robot suddenly lost it humanity like programing?
Human are too complicated for anyone to have a definite answer to answer these kind of question.
Hell, why am I even asking these kind of questions? I know no one can answer them.
Why do I over analyse these thing? Why am I so interested in the thought process of our self?

Why are there so many kids on medication?
So many brains are being screw up by medication.
Most kids are taking meds for AD(H)D. And more and more are taking meds for bipolar.
Experts say that the symptoms of these illness include hyperactive and tantrum. Most of the time, kids are put on mind-altering drugs just by these two symptoms alone. Most of the time the people who tell the parent to get their kids check out are teachers. Most doctors who prescribe the meds are not psychiatric experts, they are just normal pediatrician.
Well, here is my non-professional opinion: What kid are not hyperactive, what kid don't have tantrum? Kids should be hyperactive. Kids have tantrum. The teachers who urge parents to put their kids on medication are just lazy and incompetent. The parent who didn't have recommendation and just request doctors to put their kids on meds are fucking horrible piece of shit who are just to god damn fucking lazy and patient to raise children.
The human mind should be just left alone if it doesn't have major illness/disorder. What I mean major are cancer, mental retardation, and head trauma. What I consider non-major illness/disorder and the brain should be left alone are ADD, ADHD, and autism. Some autistic people are genius, savant.
We should let our mind be.
The human brain is not broken, we should not fix what is not broken.
The human mind should be free, no one else or thing should control how our neuron move.
The human mind is primitive, yet a wonderful and beautiful thing, we should not try to improve what is already near perfect.
The human mind is sacred. Holier than any thing else.

Violence
Every thing in the universe is violent. Human is one of the more violent living thing on this little planet. If we aren't violent genetically, we won't be human. But with out violent, we won't be where we are now.
Why are people, especially old people, against virtual violence yet they support war? Virtual violence is good for a healthy mind, only bad to an already messed up mind. I would so rather fight thousands of alien in a game than killing my fellow human been in real life. Why the hell are we killing each other for illogical reason? Primitive thinking of arrogant and intolerance are causing violence. I learn tolerance threw the media. I learn that war kill from video game, crime doesn't pay from crime shows, logic and understanding will drive the human species forward from sci-fi, and value of friends and other different value from manga, anime, and different media offer in the world.
Why do people waste money fighting, claiming that they are trying to improve their life. But wouldn't saving the money from fighting and using it be better? Sure that the earth is overpopulating and some say war can reduce it, but if we use the effort that we put into killing each other into helping each other, the world would be at least 50 years ahead in technology and humanitarian advancement.
People some time kill because they follow orders, those are not the smart one. The smart one, the one kill by plan not by instinct are the best killer and can put their violent into full potential, even might be good. The best of the worst of us, the one who can use violent to the fullest of potential are the smart people who plan out their killing, the one who also plan to escape, and the one who can learn and adapt to new situation. Some may say it is evolution, it might be, but violent isn't the only way to evolve.
The best of the worst of us who uses violence are usually the one no one expect. The one who are the nicest, the one who care the most, and the one who are quiet. No one suspect them, they hide in plane sight. They might kill because it fun, or it interesting, or for learning. The one who are the worst of the worst of us who kill by plan and liking is more evolve than the primitive killers who kill by instinct. The best of these people can control their violence and only release them in a devastating scale when they chose to. I would rather cross the violence by plan people because I can get to know them and be friend them. The violence by instinct people can be set off by some thing.
So violence drive us, but it is the worst of us. Does it mean that the more we developer the more violent we get. Or can we find a way for peace? Virtual violent is much beneficial to any one because it don't hurt real people, if use properly, it will even help us grow. So why do people fear virtual violence while love real violence? Are the people against virtual violence the most blood thirsty of all?
Human is very mysterious, where will our genetic will drive us?
Any one reading, I want to know what you think. Post some comment!.
